$onlinestatus doesn't seem to want to showup in my announcebit. Default or changed template either one.
The $onlinestatus is working in all other templates that I can see so far.
Ideas?

Where's the Mods? Thanks to the new bold Mod and Admin update I can clearly see that as I post this Freddie is the only one in here. Did everyone run off to the hack forum? :D
Lot's of "0" answered questions in this forum.

Does the announcebit have that variable in it by default?

Something else. I've noticed quite a few bug fixes over in the bug forum. Do we just download vBulletin (fixed) and copy the files over again?

Super. Now Freddie is gone too. :(
You know, for after one day of a major vBulletin release, I find it rediculous that there is no help around. You would think that 1 day after a release there would be plenty of help. Where is Chris? James? any other mods? Not one Developer on here now that Freddie is gone.
There are a hundred people on here as I write this. At least ten percent are looking for help. Where is the support?
I'll work on it myself. Thanks.

Another question. No since in posting this in another thread.
Unlike here at vbulletin, when I browse my forums it doesn't show the "users browsing this forum" unless I hit the browser refresh. What may cause this?
Thanks

You won't show up the first time you visit the page and if you are the only user than you want see the "Users Browsing" part at all unless you refresh.
I'm sorry but do you realize that all day that I have been here that I am actually at work. I do what I can but can't speak for anyone else. I also have to divide my time to answering support tickets.
Did the $onlinestatus in annoucebit work in 2.0.3? It may be there but has never been actually hooked up.

I'm not complaining about you Freddie. You are here most of the time helping someone. But it shouldn't be left all to you either.
Yes the $onlinestatus worked in all the past versions to beta2.
I am just about ready to have to revert all of my templates again to see if I can figure out what is going on. I really need to know if the bug fix forum has updated the vbull files since it came out. I have a couple of those issues as well.
Thank You.

Well Freddie,
It's nine AM day two since the new software upgrade came out. Currently you are the only Staff in here again. How are you today?

And I am about to go to work and probably can't hang out here as much as I did yesterday :( And to fix your problem open announcement.php and find
if ($showonline) {and change to
if (!$showonline) {

Thanks Freddie. My guess is the database is messing up from a concurrent post by the both of us, or the fix just vanished.
Is that it? Just add a "!" ?

Ah... I thought I was seeing things. The code fix was long and then .... The above.
Ok. I'll do it. Thank you. And find yourself some help freddie. That's to hard on you to answer questions in all of these forums.
Appreciated.

Well the $onlinestatus now shows up but it isn't working. It shows me offline when I'm online. :(
Someone clearly didn't hook up the $onlinestatus to the announcement.php in version 2.2.0.
Again, are the files updated on a regular basis when bugs are fixed? I have the release that came out two days ago and need to know if the files have been updated with fixes.
Help appreciated.

I had a fix for it. One of the Dev's helped me with it back in November. Worked super. I gave up on it when I upgraded, it didn't work again. Don't ask me. I dunno.

Will this be fixed in 2.2.2? If this is a bug, why isn't it in the bug forum?

I sure don't have a clue. All I can say is if you look at the dates I started this thread, you'll find it was in November. I then received some help getting it working privately, but when the next upgrade came out it didn't work again. I Don't know why no one wanted to look into this. Simply put if there was a problem with it working, then it should have been posted here as to why. As I mentioned, I gave up on it. There has to be a reason as to why they don't want to hook this up. Maybe some security flaw it creates or something. I assure you that Jelsoft is aware of the situation with it.

I'll check it out, and also make sure the status works in the pms also, since it may not.

The code looks correct and it appears to work as it is right now. Is it working on this forum? The last time it was changed was Fri Nov 2 16:46:43 2001 GMT (2 months, 2 weeks ago) by freddieb
It is the exact same code that is used to show you online/offline in postbit (posts).
My online status here should match whatever my status is when you are viewing this post. --> http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/announcement.php?s=&forumid=15
On the other hand, the online/offline status in pm's was broken.

Hmmm. Mine is like it was before we worked on it Freddie. I over wrote the fixed files we were working on. I do remember that we had the PM's and the other files fixed. I wish I would have backed them up for that version, but I don't know if they would work with this release or not.
