Keeps showing newthreads icon - but no new threads!

For some reason, one of my forums keeps showing the icon for new threads (forum_new.gif) but when I click New Posts there are *NO* new threads.

Does anyone know why this is happening or more importantly, how to fix it?

Thread Read Marking Type is set to:
Database (automatic forum marking)

Set this:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Thread/Forum Read Marking Type -> Database (automatic forum marking)

And this:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Database Read Marking Limit

The first time you set this all posts will show up as unread because the database marking is new. Once you mark the forums as read everything will work fine.

Database (automatic forum marking) is already turned on, and

Database read marking limit is currently set to 14 (default)

But sometimes the forum_new.gif icon is displayed, and you click "New Posts" and it says there's nothing new. You go in to that forum, and nothing is in bold (designating an unread post).

Suggestion:

1) This may sound strange, but your icons are set correctly? (Correct Icon for Unread and Read? [Just checking :D ]

2) You may want to try one of the steps [again] in post #2 -- Scroll to the bottom of your main forum index, just under your last forum/category... click the button "Mark Forums Read" -- Then see if the problem repeats itself.

If you did step #2 already and no change... not sure what to tell you.
