I would like to ban a member but he/she resides on an IP address that is possibly used by others, ie. it's at a puplic terminal such as a workplace.
How can I go about banning only him/her
As listing his/her xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx address might ban the targeted user occassionally, it might also ban another incorrectly.
Help

You cant......in all reality you ban the machine......not the person. Maybe if the user had a different profile on the machine, you could use cookies but thats not 100% secure.......

You can ban the IP, but if it is dynamic, then you could ban other people as well, that is always a problem.
You can always just take away their posting privelages though. That does work in many cases.
