Visitor Messages Hacker Users IP

last night one of my male user hack his account and post / leave a visitor message (BAD ONE) to his wife profile page...now they soft delete it already

the problem is i dont see any ip anymore or is there still a way that i can trace the ip of the account hacker anywhere on that.....the only thing i can see is the message is still there on a soft delete action but i can make it back again....or can't see any ip anymore...

appreciate any help on this please from anyone...

Restore the message and click on the IP link. Delete it again when you're done.

Delete it again when you're done.thanks Wayne manage to view the IP now but can't find it via ACP by Search IP Addresses...or is there any way i can view who is the original registered user of this ip? co'z we beleive that he is also using other account or he has original account name....

:ois there still anyone can help or tell me any trick or best way to find the user of the ip address i only had by searching to my board or database?...coz i still beleived that he/she is still on board....but tried already to search but no luck...

IPs are associated with a username when they register and post (posts in threads or visitor messages). You now have an IP associated with a username via the VMs. However, if the user has never posted any other messages on your board (posts or VMs), then you will not be able to associate that IP with another username.

thanks Lynne....the problem is if you read my first post...someone use my male user and post to his wife profile visitors message page...with some bad words...now i manage to get the ip of that...just i said it's different from the real owner...i search that ip via acp but can't found any user...hoping only maybe there is still chance or any way to find something from this ip....hoping that maybe the bad man is still around my board ang using other account or maybe his original account...

I did read your first post, so I know what the issue is. However, you are only going to be able to associate that IP with another user if they used that IP to post or register with. Some users have dynamic IPs and can easily change them also, so you may just be SOL regarding the issue.

i see..so there is no other way to find this now or no chance to find it anymore to my board.....well just try only for a guess maybe there is some way...for this problem...
