Lost one day of posts in migration

Is there a way to export/import one day of posts.

While waiting for the server to enable jailed ssh we lost one day worth of our board.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do that. Database backups are restored as a whole. Any attempt to combine two backups is problematic at best.
