---snip---
At http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=26 one can see a list of message headers.
Remember the last message header in the list.
Go to next page. Remember the header of the first message on the next page.
Now post a new topic. This new topic will appear the first on the first page.
All message headers gonna shift down. As a result, you may consider the last message header on the first page (the one you have remembered first) should appear the first on the next page followed by the message header that was already on the second page. But it disappears instead.
---End Snip---
I have tested this and it is true. But it seems to have something to due with Sticky Threads being inplace. If not Sticky Threads, it works. With, the above it true. If you delete your post, it comes back.

Ver 2.2.0
Yet another member letter to me about this. Anyone, anyone?
"I noticed that the forum program has a problem to show a
list of threads. At "Home Theater Computers" forum, there
are some hidden threads between 1st page and 2nd page. I
cannot see them from the threads list page until someone
post to a 2nd page thread to pop it to the top and push
hidden threads out to 2nd page. I can see then if I do
search.
I guess this is caused by some sticky threads at the top of
1st page and 2nd page. A program calculate how to divide
all threads into each page, and then add some additional
sticky threads at the top of each page. Buuum, threads at
the bottom of each page are hidden. I'm not sure, but I
imagined so."

Again I must ask....Hello? I now have over 19 e-mails from members who are finding this bug.

I can't verify this problem on either of my 2.2.0 forums. Do you have a test account we can use to test this with?
Also I would suggest you enter a help ticket if you haven't already.

THANK YOU FOR REPLYING!!!
Seeing that most of the help comes from here, I have not.
This seems happens when you have Mutli Sticky Threads.
See members post for what he had found and how he can see it....

Well I confirmed the problem. After posting my test thread in the Home Theatre Computers forum, this thread is now missing:
"Creative Ensoniq AudioPCI and WinXP"
However it still shows up in a search:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?threadid=90803&highlight=Creative+Ensoniq
Have you made any modifications to the postbit templates? If so, revert these back to the original and see if this thread shows up.

Also can you create a new style set without any modifications, in particular without the javascript menu you're running. I'd like to see this problem occurs with the default set of templates.

I am sorry to say it happens right her in this very forum. Try it.
Look at the last thread in the list. Make a post. You would then expect that thread to be on the next page...guess what? It's not. It is not missing. Delete the test post. Guess what...It's back. I did a test post you you might has seen.
So...What I am saying is....It is not my forum....but the code and it's counters.

I haven't checked it out here yet but I will. Meanwhile I just noticed that the thread that went 'missing' after I posted has reappeared. The posts are not really gone, but are just not displayed temporarily. I'll see if I can get a developer to look at this.

Confirmed here too. The following thread 'disappeared' after I posted a test message:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32503
I'm moving this to the Bugs forum.

Deleting my test post brought the missing thread back. I'm going to post again and see what happens.

The thread disappeared again with a new post. After the third test post it reappeared. There are four sticky threads in that forum. I think there's a connection.

Steve et al.
I have not been able to confirm this. Can you check that this is still an issue on the beta site?

John,
I sent you an email outlining how to reproduce this error on these forums. I'll test it on ther beta site once i figure out how to access it again! :o

I think that we have fixed this one now, as I couldn't reproduce it. The code is now on these forums, so if you see any more problems, let me know.

John,
I just tested it on these forums and the problem is still there. I added a new post in the Trouble-Shooting forum called - 'just a test'. The very last post on the first page was called 'Strange Goings On'. After adding the new post, the 'Strange Goings On' post 'disappeared'. It doesn't show up on either the first or second forumdisplay page.

I think that I have fixed this now. Try it out on these forums, and I'll post the changes.

I just tested it in the trouble-shooting forum and it appears to be fixed now. :)

Can you give it a spin in a few other forums too, as I think that I might have just hacked it so that it works in that forum only.

It seems fixed in the Suggestions forum but it's still broken in the How Do I forum.

When will this get fixed. All the other bugs have been fixed...I hope this means that 2.2.1 is on it's way today!!

*finally* got this one fixed. That was such a pain!
Anyway, enough venting, keep your eyes peeled for 2.2.1 very soon!
