I have freshly installed vB 3.8.3 but for some reason most of the images are not showing, including the vBulletin logo at the top. I have done numerous installs over the last few years but haven't come across this before, does anyone have any suggestions please.

I have attached a screenshot if it helps

Thanks in advance

The only reason the images would not show up is because the browser/webserver cannot find them. Are you sure the images were uploaded properly? Can you provide a link to your forum?

I have installed this twice now just in case I missed something but no difference.

Thanks

My guess is that you have the wrong permissions. Make sure the directories are chmod'd to 755 and the files to 644.

I have checked the permissions and as you say the directories are set to 755 and files to 644, so they are correct.

Then the files are not there. Those are the only possibilities.

Now you see why I am so puzzled, the files are there as I can open the images from my webhost.

This is pretty clear:

You don't have permission to access /images/misc/vbulletin3_logo_white.gif on this server.

do you have any image protection/hotlink protection enabled in your webhost control panel?
