Hello,

I would like to ask you if there is a way

to separate posts, from the user id that posted them ?

i.e. I want that if someone reads one post of that user,

wont be able to get to the other posts the user previously posted.

I am not interested in keeping the user active, the user is and will be inactive,

and this attempt is on HIS behalf.
(to protect his sensitive personal data regarding childcare of his kids).

will this happen if I delete the user? or rather not... ?

what else is there that can be done?

(we are talking about thousand posts aproximately)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance !!

Your best bet in this case is to add the user to "global ignore" which is in the admincp as Tachy goes to Conventry I think.

non-staff wont be able to read the posts then. It will say "the admin thought this user should be quiet for a while" or something like that.

if you delete the user, the posts remain but it shows up as guest.

thank you. I searched for it toknow what it is.

I will try it right now. thank you very much!

another question....
how do you make
a word replacement ?

(the function that automatically changes a word with another of your choice?...)

(a lot of people have quoted that user's posts so the old username appears still in many quotes.
if I remove that username too then noone will be able to find anything ;))

Edit the style, and somewhere in their is an option for custom style var -- you can add the word you want to replace in their.

Word of Caution: This replaces EVERYTHING, not just the text in the post. So if his username was 'Post' and you replaced that with Chicken, then no posts would show up because the variable names would be replaced. You can always delete it, the changes are not permanent but just be careful.
