can members' password be transfered from IPB 3.0?

It was not in IPB 2.3.*, so we find it hard to convert, what about IPB 3.0?

Why would they need to reregister?

They just need to click a link to reset their password.

no , we don't want to lose any member's password and do NOT want them to RESET, whole process just let forum go down in fiece market competition

for exmaple, when we send out newsletter, we expect them to come back and reply to news..etc, if they have difficulties of logging in, how much do you think they would care to reset

It requires modification of the database which is something Impex is designed agasint doing.

The work around is users can request new passwords. This has been working and been very sucessful for many clients who have decided to switch.
