I just installed 3.83 and no one can register anymore. They get this

Image verification could not be verified due to server issues

Which verification method are you using? Have you tried changing it?

N/M - reCaptcha

Either the reCpatcha server is down or your server cannot connect to it. Change the verification method for now.

hummm, not sure about that ... it works with my other 3.82 site

This seems pretty clear to me:

Image verification could not be verified due to server issues

Nonetheless this really is not a vB issue. I suggest contacting your host and asking them to check the server logs.
