Import two forums into 3rd new?

I've been messing with this all night. I've backed up all dbs.

The two imported source db's are on another server so I just zipped the dbs and installed them in their own db on the new server.

Installed the new domain.

Imported one forum.

Then I'm missing a step here, because what I've been doing is setting up the first import and then when I'm done, changing the config file to reflect the second db and start importing. Naturally everything I imported from db 1 disappears on the db 2 import. Why are they not combining and what do I have to do differently?

Go to impex and from there there's an option there to clear the import id and start fresh, allowing multiple imports.
