bbPress to vBulletin import problem

Hello Friends,

I am using impex for importing all bbPress content to vBulletin. During import I have found few problem.

my vBulletin already have users, forums, threads, etc. i.e vBulletin is already running and having large amount of data.

When I try to import bbPress content to vBulletin. Everything imported from bbPress to vBulletin but as there are same users already register on both the forums. Impex does not map vBulletin existing user with bbPress. insted it create imported_XXXXX as users. so it incorrectly associate user data.

Can anyone tell me exactly on what basis(username or email) impex does mapping of users?

Also I have observed that bbPress allow email can be use multiple time during registration.

Any help or direction would me much appriciated.

That is because those imported users have the same username but different email addresses than the ones on the vBV forums. Otherwise vB would merge them on import.

You can choose to 'associate' specific users during the import. Otherwise you can merge these users after the import.
