Fatal Error

Help!

I am trying to run the program after a successful installation. The first time I run the admin index, it gives me this error:

Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function get_magic_quotes_gpc() in global.php3 on line 5

I can't even run it! I get other errors as I try to run other files.

WHAT DO I DO? I wanted to install the lite version to make sure that I can run the full version, and purchase the full version as soon as I got the lite version installed and running.

What's your webhost? PHP version?

Sounds like your PHP isn't upto date enough. I think you need at least 3.0.16

I am getting the same message. My host is running php3 and I am pretty sure that its a newer version. THe installation finnished fine.

What now?

I am waiting to hear back from my web server to see what they are going to do. They run my site on a Unix box with php3 on it. he mentioned that they are going to update to php4 this month. I don't want to have to wait. I just want to get this project underway...

Whi is your host? I am using Digiweb (digiweb.com). Im not sure that it is their problem since it installed correctly. My host had some problems earlier which wouldnt allow me to install it, but they fixed them and it installed fine. Let me know,

My webhost is Besthost1.com and normally are an awesome host. I am aggrivated that vb doesn't work on it. They tell me that they are going to update the php ti php4 in the next few weeks, but it will probably be months before it happens. I want to get vb up and running right now.
