Defaulting email notify to off?

Hi,

Is there a way to set the "Email Notification" preference to off by default? I notice that when I create a new username it's turned on initially, and will be auto-selected when making new posts.

I don't mind having the feature enabled and I don't want to turn it off altogether, you never know who'll find it useful. But I'd prefer to require that users turn it on manually if they want to use it.

I tried editing the "Registered" user group template but it's not one of the options.

registeradult (and regsitercoppa) templates. Find the <tr>...</tr> dealing with it and move the check to the no box.
