upgrade.php page not found error

I am trying to upgrade a board, from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2, and it tells me '404 page not found', and I have uploaded the files twice, when i look at the files on the server through my ftp program, the file is there, and i even went ahead and chmodded the file to 777 just in case, and I know the path is right, but it says the file is not there.. any ideas?

Do you see a public_html/ folder in ftp? Are the files inside there? Or perhaps a /forum/ ? it needs to be exact.

I needed to put the /forum/ in, and now it's working - thanks Floris!
