View Full Version : Password Resets Not Going Well After Import

Alright..I did an import from IPB to the latest and greatest VB. All has gone ok except for all the emails I am getting because people who try and reset their passwords are not getting a reset password email. Grrrr.

So far, I have done over 100 of them easy manually. This needs to fixed ASAP.

Any ideas?

vB uses the server for it's email. If there are problems, then the issue is either with the server itself or on the receiving end.

No help at all. The email is working. It just is not working for the imported users' email I guess. Grrrrr.

Here is an example of the email I get after I try to tell the members to use the forgot password link I have on my front page.


Yes, I have tried the link but no matter which e-mail I use it tells me that it does not recognize the e-mail address.

Follow the instructions on this page:

http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex_passwords

This will send an email to the registered email addresses for all users with instructions on how to reset their password. By sending them an email, they will know which email they used to register as it will be the one that they receive the email at.
