Spammers not being moderated?

I've been having problems lately with spammers registering and somehow bypassing the moderation queue. I have it set so everyone in the New Members usergroup has their first 5 posts moderated, but these spammers are not getting caught. Legitimate new members are, though. I'm running 3.7.2. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Honestly I don't see how that is possible unless you have add-ons installed.

First upgrade to at least 3.7.6. Then please see this thread on how to make your vBulletin more secure:
