Smilies broken on live forum after import

I im ported phpbb3 over using impex to a fresh vB board.

During the testing phase all of my imported smilies work fine.

Now, when someon inputs a generic smiley, in the editor it shows as my imported smiley, but when they put it it is the VB defualt smiley that is supposed to have overwritten,

as for the custom smilies I brought over it does not even show up, it either shows up as nothing, or as the code aka : lol :

If I do a post cache refresh they all show up like they should.

any help?

I would like to add, all users have the fully enhanced wysiwyg editor enabled via SQL queary, smilies, images, and bnbcodes are on in all forums.

All users have already been set to see images, bbcode, and signatures via SQL query. All forums are smilies, bbcode, and image enabled.

When i refresh the piost cache they show as the imported smilies. If you dont refresh the post cache they are either invisable, show as : smiliescodes : or in the case of the generic smileies (which i have overwritten with imported smilies) they show as the vB defualt smilies.

I have no idea what you just posted or what you want then. Maybe you can clarify this.

Here is a quick rundown of the problem.

When a smiley is posted in a post, if it is one of the imported smilies i brought over from my phpbb3 forum, it is invisible, or shows as smiles code like --> (: lol :). UNLESS it is a "generic smiley" (all of which where imported over by my phpbb3 smilies) If it is a generic smiley it shows as the original default vB smilie that i had overwritten with imported smiley.

If I do a post cache refresh, all the invisable smilies, all the code, all the original vB smilies revert to what they should be, which is the imported phpbb3 smilies.

when you are in the enhanced editor, all of the smilies show to the right as the imported smilies, like they should work. Even when you put them in the editor textbox they show, but when you hit post, they are gone, unless I do a post cache refresh.

If it helps, I did 3 or 4 test imports, and they all worked fine.

For future reference, this was happening becuase I did not have my images/smiles folder set to 777 permissions in my host server.

so. Fixed.
