hai folks,

maybe someone can help me...

...I have a dedicated server an recently upgraded the memory from 512 to 1024 MB RAM.

physically, there are two 512 memory elements in the server.

in the bios, the memory is recognized too

Kernel: Linux 2.2.16-22
CPU: 1 AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) Processor 1002 MHz Processor(s)
Cache: 256 KB

but
the "top" command says I have only 906544 kB memory in the system!!!!!!! :( :(

where can be the rest? vanished in space? 140 mb???????

THX for advice,
scotty

the server company said, there were 512 + 512 in the system, and 1024mb were displayed in the bios...

could a stick be "partial" bad?

because there are only two 512's in the server

and the bios-check is ok...

just show your host the phpsysinfo and other stats and ask for them to recheck it
