Hi,
I'm using vBulletin 3.7.5 with vBAdvanced.
Lately my board has started to run slow. For example when your posting a new thread it can take 20 seconds before the new thread is processed.
Could this be a sowftware problem or is this related to my server? The site seems to run different from time to time, sometimes faster and sometimes slower... but never as fast as some other forums I'm visiting.
The site is located here: link (http://www.hojen.nu/)
The site is in swedish but could you click around and tell me if you thinks it's slow?
Thanks!

Yes, it's running quite slow. A good reason for that is that there are 859 domains sitting on that server - a tad overloaded I feel.

Thanks for the info. My host is one of the biggest in Sweden and you could think that they will have enough server power to manage that many domains?
Update:
I have tried to disable all plugins and also used the default theme.
The forum became slightly faster but it still can take 3-4 seconds just to view a thread and that's not right.
Is it a server or database issue?

I checked out some of the other sites on your server, and they run very slowly as well - my guess it's an overloaded server issue.

Where do you get this info from? Which other sites that are on the same server?
If this is to any help I have also recieved a couple of "vBulletin Database Error"-mails. They look like this:
Database error in vBulletin 3.7.5:
Invalid SQL:
UPDATE vb_datastore SET
data = data - 1,
data = IF(data < 0, 0, data)
WHERE title = 'mailqueue';

Another update:
Seems like my site is going up and down, one minute the speed is OK, the next minute it's terrible.
I'va made to tests using pingdom to whow this,
Slow: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=hojen.nu/&id=817768
Fast: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=hojen.nu//&id=817771
Is there anyway the software can be causing this?

It's a hosting issue. Contact your host.

I will. How do you know it's a hosting issue? So I know what to tell them :)

You could tell them you believe you're on an overloaded server, as here's the proof...

That's really interesting, how do I look mine up? I'm not sure where I put my info.

Simply look up the IP of your domain name via a tracert/traceroute. If you're not sure on how to do that, post back your domain name.

They have moved my site to another server now.. the same host though.
Will wait and see if it makes any difference

I see you have a new IP and it appears they've blocked reverse IP lookups to hide another overloaded server - it's still running very slowly.

Thansk for the info. I feel that it's running a bit faster but I guess your right, it's still slow compared to how it could be.
Will be looking up other host alternatives

There are some really good ones around.
You might be better off going with your ISP as a host. See what they offer.
