Hosting Question

Hey everyone. I have been running a site for a year and am just about to renew my vb license (just expired like 2 days ago.) I am currently on a dedicated server paying $115 a month. As everyone knows with this economy I just can't cut it anymore.

I have a semi-busy site. 1200 members, on average 50 connected users, just a chat forum nothing ridiculous.

Would switching to shared serving to weather the economy out cripple me?

Disk space usage, bandwidth usage and database size (MB/GB)??

Around 300GB a month.

Threads: 8,006, Posts: 138,723, Members: 1,095

DB size is about 75MB.

And...how many user+guests are concurrently online in your forum?
And what's the average CPU load you observed?

average users around 50-75. CPU usage not sure, its negligible.

I think you are an ideal candidate for Semi-Dedicated hosting.
