A few months ago, I decided to start a small forum. With all of the options out there, it is tough to wade through.
I asked a lot of questions here and elsewhere and came up with a plan.
My forum is still very small, but I'll see where it goes over the next 12 months.
Two things I must say,
1. The vbulletin Software is very nice and their support is excellent.
2. The host I chose stablehost.com seems to be working very well. I have had 0 ZERO issues. I hear many people have problems starting up with their host, but this place worked perfectly.
If you are looking to start up a small forum or whatever, ask for Tyler
Some hosts, give you 40GB of space and only 100 meg of SQL DB. This place allows you as much DB as you have space, no need to a seperate requirement.
I do not work for either place, I am simply a customer, a regular customer with no discount or crap like that.
