How do I make the menu bar longer, and change the colour?

Hi,
I need to make the menu bar at the top of the forum stretch the full length of the page, and change the colour, without changing the colour to other parts of the forum. (see image)

Can someone please point me in the right direction?
I am using the latest Vbulletin.

By installation of vBulletin it is already fluid, but if you have change this...
Admin CP > Styles & Templates > All Style Options / StyleVars > Sizes and Dimensions -> Main Table Width (pixels or percentage) [100%]
That part of Breadcrumbs is predefined classes located within Main CSS and itis easily done with a template edit. You just need to change class declaration alt1 to custom alt3



# Admin CP > Styles & Templates > All Style Options / Main CSS > Additional CSS Definitions (Secind Box)

# locate within template: navbar
# change alt1 to alt3
