I had a strange thing happen sometime in the last day or two in that suddenly in all but one group of forums I as the administrator can no longer edit topics or posts. I can delete them, but that's it.

So I looked at Forum permissions, nothing has changed, all of the forums in question have the permissions for the administrator group set to "use default permissions" and when I open them up to look at them the administrator has everything set to YES. I even clicked the mark all as YES button and saved just to be certain.

I looked at my administrator group, everything looks fine there.

I looked at my administrator account and my administrator access privs and again everything looks fine there too.

I am stumped as to why this has happened. Any suggestions on what is the cause of the problem and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

As a follow up, I logged into another administrator account and that account has access to being able to edit topics and posts in those forums, which to me would seem to indicate something different about either the user accounts, or the usergroups that they belong to.

Check the Mod permissions for that Admin:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators -> Edit

Yes, that fixed it. So can I asked how that got all changed around if I never went in there and did anything to it?? Weird.....
