Can the What's Going On box be added into adv_portal_footer

I can get the What's Going On box to work in forumhome and in my Member's Online cmps module. What I am trying to do is put it below my cmps columns in my adv_portal_footer so it has full width of the page for display and takes up less vertical space.

I am guessing I need to add some hooks???
