I will be taking control of a fairly active forum of about 2,000 active members and about 400 visits from them per day. Current monthly bandwidth usage is a tad below 100 GB, but that will increase with time. I'm looking to move the database to a provider with superb uptime and good support. I am unfamiliar with what I should be looking for, though I have been told a lower-end dedicated server would work just fine. What kind of memory should I be looking for? Graphically the forum is fairly intensive, though not extreme. Thanks for any help.
**EDIT**
This is a USA based forum so I'm looking for a server WITHIN the USA.

Hello, look for something with 2 to 4 gig of ram, and a dual core cpu.

You certainly need a dedicated server. However, it may not be cheap if you are looking for a fully managed service.

You will definitely need a server for this forum.
I would suggest checking WebHostingTalk for reviews on dedicated server providers. Also, I would check out pacificrack.com from my own personal experience.

lol I may have made the forum sound larger than it truly is. We have about 2,000 active members, but we only have about 400 visits from them per day, so only about 400 users per day browsing the forums (not 2,000 x 400).
Not looking for a managed server (will have a capable administrator for that kind of stuff), but something reliable, dedicated and well-priced.

I would suggest you to check the offers section on Web hosting talk. You will find lot of providers and good deal over there.

I agree. Managed Dedicating hosting solutions might be a bit pricey, but they are worth it-- especially those that do nothing by manage vBulletin hosted sites.
