Basically I'm looking to finall work on my forum. I will probably be going with some sort of nuke on the site. I want a great header that works with my site to give it not only a pro look but round off the site. So where do I start to learn, does anyone have any adivce, links, and or info on where to get started. I want anything ya got, great examples, I've seen good work by c-promt and his site is amazing but I dunno if I wanna pay for services, lol maybe anyone could donate who love the Toyota Supra...? Anyhow anything would be helpful, thanks ;)

Here is a link to what I did a few months ago and left it.. (http://forums.suprascene.com)

Thanks for the compliment. :)

What I would suggest is going around and looking at sites and getting ideas. I dont mean see what someone else has and use it, but see something and then incorporate it into a design in your mind. When I am at a loss for a design I pull out a magazine. You'd be surprised on how many of my ideas came from magazines. :)

If you are good with Photoshop, or at least have it you could always grab some tutorials on graphics to make a good header. And then just work the colors of your tables into the headers scheme. Thats what I did at anabolic-advantage. That site was simply a banner I made, and then did some color matching in the forums.

Yea what I don't get it the header part. I can do sites and tables but the table is what urches me. I read somewhere how you said the top was the top and the left, and the footer was the right and the bottom. Also the exapmle you gave on how to get used to it. Well I tried all that and I couldn't really cut it. lol I've given up now I'm just looking to pay someone, hint hint... hi c-prompt! lol I mean I can get it one day but I really don't know where to being on even thinking of a design and thanks for the magazines I'll see what I come up with but any help would be greatly appreciated being I'm only 16 and this isn't the easiet thing to do being i have no php knowledge besides being a script kiddie.   ;) :(

If you ever have a problem finding out which template does what, there is an interesting little feature in the Admin Interface called Show Template Name. Goto your Admin Interface, Change Options, Templates, then select yes for the below part. Then you can view source and edit in your favorite editor (wysiwg if need be). That's how I made my first layout.. (in sig)

LuBi> Right now Im heavily busy with client work and behind as it is. Until my current projects are completed I cannot take on any others.

However a few posts up Snyx posted about doing graphics work, vb work cheap. So you could possibly check him out as an option.

To get a little more in depth about the template use of the header and footer I will write a small tutorial for it. Give me about 20 minutes to find it, and finish up some work Im doing.

I cannot find it but here is a link to one for UBB (hehe). Its the same concept. Top half in the header and bottom half in the footer.
