I have always let users have a custom title if they dont like the forum default. One member who had a custom title went to change it, and it wouldnt let him. I made sure it was set to YES in the registered users group, and it still is not working correctly. I have searched numerous users and some are set to Yes, user set, and others are set to No. There does not seem to be any pattern either. Any help?

CHeck their usergroup permissions. That is where the ability to have a title comes from.

I have it set to YES under Usergroups>Usergroup Manager>Registered Users>General Perrmissions>Can Use Custom Title>YES

Have you logged in as a normal user yourself and verified that you cannot set the custom title?

You mean create a new account and try to do that way?

Exactly. It's a good idea to have an account that is just a regular user so you can test things out when you make changes to your board. (I've seen some awful mistakes done on boards because the admin never bothered to test his coding by logging in as a regular user.)

I appologize for the confusion. It seems if a user decides not to use a custom title, it is set to NO in their profile via AdminCP. I told the user I was changing his password, and I used his account to log into the forum. I changed it fine. I dont know what he was doing, but I assume he was checking off "reset" while also changing the title effectively canceling out the changes.

I applogize for wasting your time. :) But thank you for your help.
