Hi all,
I'm setting up a new forum and have stumbled across a difficulty..

I have installed two (free) Styles, which appear to work just fine if I set either as the default Style.

However, selecting any Style other than the current default one has absolutely no effect at all.

I've tried setting up from scratch a couple of times, adding the same (few) plugins and the same Styles - no dramas at all, all works as expected.

Unfortunately I've already added a bunch of forums, and even some content, and would much rather not lose that, so am looking for a solution.

The only thing I can think of is the order I have installed things has caused the problem.

I can confirm that the problem appears to lie in the database, rather than the uploaded files, as copying the file structure over the top of a working test setup makes no difference, but pointing my test forum to the "real" database causes the issue to appear instantly.

I have tried uninstalling the Styles, re-installing them, even creating a new default style - all to no avail :(

Would really appreciate some help so I can send my forum live please!

URL is http://www.fdrx7.com if anyone wants to observe the problem first-hand..

Regards,
Dave

Thank you for the quick response!

This is set to yes..

The dropdown box style selection box appears on each page, and you can select any of the available styles, but there is no effect.

Dave

OK, an update..

The problem is definitely in the database..

I just imported a data dump into a working, test copy, which immediately shows identical symptoms..

My thoughts at this stage are to export the forums, users and messages and re-import them into a fresh copy.

Any thoughts on if that is possible, and if so, how please?

Regards,
Dave

With that you might have to seek help at vBadvanced forums.
