Is better to upgrade from 3.6.8 to 3.8?

Hi,

Our version is 3.6.8, I'm wondering if it better to upgrade our version to latest version or to another version or the new version add some feature and no need to upgrade?

Best to upgrade directly to 3.8.0. Please follow the upgrade documentation here:

OK, I did the upgrade to version 3.8.1 and I noticed 56 of templates need to upgrade?!
Can I leave them without upgrade? because my forum has no issue right now.

Also should I delete the install folder after upgrade?

Last question, Is it OK to encrypt config.php or leave it without encryption?

1. You will almost certainly have to revert some of the templates at some point.

2. Only delete install.php and the upgrade*.php files.

3. You cannot encrypt config.php.

How can I know these files?

When you have problems or find you are missing features, then this will almost certainly be due to old templates.

FWIW I update all my templates with every upgrade.
