Revert, Update or Edit templates?

Since, upgrading to 3.8.0 i now have 22 templates that need to be updated or reverted, i want to keep my modifications, so what do i do?, do i click the update and the 2 templates will be merged? or do i revert and the new templates will be the old ones or do i have to add the edits from the old templates to the new templates 1 by 1?

if you want to keep the customizations.

umm no. The easier way is coming in vb4.

This is one big reason why so many people with highly customized styles get worried on upgrades.

I do not have a *very* customized style but it did took me few hours to update all the templates plus I always keep my style very clean and 100% xhtml valid. ;)

Hey but its fun you see :D

btw, there does exist a mod called TMS for this purpose but I have never used it as I feel comfortable with manual edits.

Yeah, i can manually edit as i did for the changes that are in place but its going to be a pain over 22 of them
