We're trying to purge out our inactive members, to reflect a more accurate database.

Currently we have almost 54k registered members (yes, the previous webmaster cheated and has it set to register to view), so I'm limiting my purges to a months worth of inactive members at a time. In the process of the purge, it displays this:

Deleting forum subscriptions .... okay.

Deleting thread subscriptions .... okay.

Deleting calendar events .... okay.

Deleting custom avatars .... okay.

Deleting forum access .... okay.

Deleting moderators .... okay.

Deleting private messages .... okay.

Deleting user sessions .... okay.

Now proceding to update threads & posts ....

And then I get a Internet Explorer Script Error Box that says this:

Line: 22
Char: 52
Error: Invalid Pointer
Code: 0

Do you want to continue running this script? Yes/No

Upon selecting yes, the page does nothing but sits there.

What to do?

'twould appear that the JavaScript used to forward to the next screen is not support by IE4...Gonna classify this as a bug.

....

Since I don't have permissions, can someone move this to the bugs forum? Thanks!

So do threads get answered in here, or does this just serve as a notice to others that there indeed is a bug??? I have no clue how this particular forum operates! Should I try the same procedure at home on my Personal Computer (IE, Win 98, DSL)??

for now, until it is fixed, i would recommend using an up to date browser. IE5 or NS6 and you will not have this problem.

We look at these threads for things that need attention for the next version but we do not normally post the bug fix unless the bug seriously hampers performance or usability.
