I was wondering if it is still possible to purchase and use version 3.6?
I am interested in using 3.6 because I am wanting to do an RPG using the Inferno RPG script

vBulletin 3.6.X has reached end of life. You can download the latest version but there will be no bug fixes applied to this version. If a bug is found it will be fixed in the 3.7 and 3.8 series and you will need to upgrade to apply that fix. The only exception is if a critical security flaw is found. At that point we would release a patch. When vBulletin 4.0 is released, we will no longer support 3.6.X.

Chances are the addon that you wish to use will work without issue using 3.8.0.

So basically once I purchase Vbull,I would be able to choose which version to download,correct?
You say that once version 4 is released, version 3.6.X would not be supported anymore.Does that mean that the 3.6.X would be free?

I am concerned cause I don't want to purchase 3.8 and then find that the Inferno RPG is not working on there
Or would I be purchasing access to all vbull versions?

It will never be free, it is just not updated for bugs. You will get access to all versions of vBulletin once you get your license.
