Problem on displaying folder icons

I was wondering where could I change or activate the folder so that whenever there is a new thread the folder icons changed to "new posts" icon. Mine currently no matter what, all folders appear to be a dot folder and the only folder that changed is whenever I try to close the thread but this one is called dot_lockfolder.gif

Are you sure that your browser isn't loading cached images?

Well I don't really know ...
but what I know is when every time I'm loading other's vBulletins boeard such as in this community it works just find without the dot folder...

and just wondering what is it mean by dot folder...?

The 'dot' icons just indicate which threads you've posted in. Whether to use this or not is configurable in the Admin CP, so you won't always see this feature on every vB forum you visit.
