1: Have an option to change the colors of member statuses, like Member, Mod, Super Mod, and Admins. That way it's more "apparent" and such.

2: As the boards can have their styles added and altered, the admin CP should be able to be customized like this! I know about editing the cp.css file, but to have it built into the admin cp with a similar setup to the "styles" part of the cp, that would truley be awesome.

3: Backup templates, single ones or the whole thing. 3 times I have had to redo all the templates, because restoring a backup is hell!

4: A "preview" option for template edditing, I know this would proably damn near impossible, but it would make editing a whole lot easier and less time consuming.

That's all that comes to mind at the moment, just thought I'd throw my two cents in, I know this was probably already added to that huge list of suggestions that you guys had going a while back, but oh well. :)

1. Already doable. Just use HTML.

2. I really honestly do not see much good in this. At most boards, one person (maybe two or three) ever see the Admin CP. I think spending time on that vs. other things that are IMHO more beneficial is not the best idea.

4. Use the Colour Scheme Machine, its been released around here somewhere.

i'll take the last one...

3. backing up and restoring style sets (which include the template set) is actually very easy. the admin cp has all this functionality included and it works very well in my experience.

5. optional feature to see the postings flat like now or at a tree, like many old boards

A tree would not work.

Because of the way that the threads are stored, and that you cant reply to a post, only a thread.

Im sure its posible, but would require alot of hacking(at the fact that its a bit outdated nowdays)

its vb 3, we can make a break here and make it possible, all old threads get a internal count, so its not possible to see that at the treeversion, but all newer threads you can see at trees

I'm not so sure it would be that hard. Yes it would take some doing as far as how posts are stored but with getpostbit() now a function, and the ability to display one post at a time a reality, I don't think it would be that hard.

But as ralgar said seeing as this would be a new version I think we can change things. :)

I appologise, my mind was stuck in 'hack' gear.

1 Reply: I know, I mean as an easier built-in option :)

2: True, I guess I'll change it myself with editing the css file :D

I like this. I'd like to have my Mods being able to change their status without having me to go in and do it it for them in the CP.
