Blocking contact methods with banned members.

When a member is banned, then members can still contact the member by email or other contact methods.

This is unwanted in case the member has been banned for illegal offers or for spam. Is there a way to block this?

That is not the way it is by default. Check the permissions for the banned usergroup and make sure they are all set to 'No'.

Banned members permissions are all set to 'no'.
Banned members still have their contact details(url , IM details, send email) on their profile. Which seems to mean that spammers and those banned for all kinds of illegal activity can still be contacted.

How to resolve this?

Banning someone does not remove their contact info. And that info will only be viewable by usergroups that have those permissions.
