Did your site used to be up and running fine? If so, it sounds like maybe your host changed something (assuming you didn't). This is really something you need to have your host deal with. It's a server issue.

You talk to your host. They are the only ones who can do something about this.

hello Lynne!
get this answer but still database errors comes (lot of them)
There is an option in admin cp to set the cookie time out. This will determine the session time out. Currently it is set to 1800 seconds(30 minutes) in your board.
We have now increased the connect_time out parameter of mysql in the server to 30. Also we have increased the 'max_user_connections' to 40. Earlier it was set to 25. If the number of simultaneous user connection exceed that limit, it will give database error. So we increased that. We cannot increase it further as it is a server wide value.
Please let us know whether your problem is solved now.
some help?

Without being able to configure the variables for mysql yourself, there is really nothing else you can do. The only other thing you can do is tell your host you are still having the same problem and have them see if they can change things again. They may tell you that the only way for them to fix it is for you to upgrade your hosting package with them.

Personally, I'd drop your host ASAP! The connect_timeout variable in MySQL is in seconds. So they have your time out set to 30 seconds. Have them up that another 60 seconds to 90 and see if it helps. Default is something like 8 hours (I think). How busy is your site?

You have a ton of modifications on your main site. It could be that one of them is causing the issue. Have you installed any lately? You can try turning them off and see if that fixes the issue -
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Make sure your session timeout is set at default 900 - vboptions > cookies > session timeout
The only other thing I can think of is that mysql is getting restarted ofter for some reason. Again, you'd have to ask your host about that.
(Also, unless you have a separate license for your test site, you must have it password protected - see the license agreement.)

hello again ... get this message from my webhostage
We have fixed your issue. The Mysql in the server was restarting frequently in every 7 minutes, so that you were getting the errors while loading your admin page.
It was due to the Service manager in the server which was monitoring the MySQL server wrongly. We have restarted the 'chkservd' and the mysql is not get restarted for last 58 minutes.
---------
[root@eta ~]# mysql -e STATUS|grep -i uptime
Uptime: 58 min 34 sec
---------
We are continuously monitoring the server. Please let us know if you are still getting the mails as you specified before. As of now, the issue seems to be fixed. We have took the admin page several times and not getting any database errors. Please let us know if you are still getting the mails related the error, we will check the server and verify whether mysql is again get restarted or not. We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused.
now is ok and there are no error messages ....
THANKS FOR HELP
