Hey Vbulletin community;

I just recently bought a license, and I have never set up or managed vbuletin before. Naturally, I have a few questions:

1. What version should I use? I know 3.8.0 is the latest, but it is still in beta. Is this stable? Secure? Easy to install? Shoud I use the latest beta, or the latest stble release. Sugestions and Opinons are welcome.

2. I've heard alot about mods, or "hacks" for the vbulletin software. Know of any good ones? The only one I know of, is IPB Arcade. Are there any websites to download these hacks from?

3. Are there any suggestions you have for a beginner? Please post them, they would be appreciated.

4. Is there an all in one guide on how to setup, install, and configure the vbulletin software?

Your help would be greatly appreciated. I'm familiar with using vbulletin, but not setting up, installing, managing, maintaining, securing, or modifying it with 3rd party "hacks".

All I have done so far is register for this forum, and buy an owned license. (It was bought from a friend, the license was transferred to me).

To some it up...

What next?

(I already have a domain and webhost).

I would appreciate any help,
Nameless

Yes, you should NEVER use beta versions for your live forums, EVER, for obvious reasons, use the latest stable release 3.7.4 PL(Patch Level) 1.
