In an effort to increase membership at our forum, I'm considering adding a section in the footer with links to recommended sites that link back to us.
Rather than just putting up hard links, I'd like to have a system where I can monitor how much traffic is coming from a referring site and how many clicks we are sending back. It would be great if the links are sorted and then displayed in the footer with the best referring sites at the top of the list. Also I would like to have the option of approving links so I'm not sending our valued members to sites that don't fit with our forum's philosophy. Lastly, it needs to be efficient and not use too much server resources on a busy site.
Am I asking for too much? :D
I see a lot of sites doing this and have looked at a few scripts.
I was hoping people here could comment or make suggestions, so I don't end up with something that isn't vBulletin friendly.
