I own a vb license and i was wondering if i could put another board that no one but me would use to test hacks and template edits before i put it on my main board? Sorry if i put this post in the wrong forum there isnt really a category for these types of questions.

Well, it's ok if you have the test board at home on your PC. Or at a place where no one else can access it. Just don't use it as a working board. I have also a copy at home to test hacks etc out.

Yes you are welcome to use a testboard. It can go on your main server as long as it isn't being used for anything other than testing.

I run a dicussion board inside the company firewalls.
Many of my users still use OS/2 with Netscape 4.61.
This creates a lot of problems which I do not see when using IE under Windows.
Therefore it does not make sense to install a test forum at home.
Question: Is there a way to have users with Netscape use different templates than IE users?
My problem is that the "submit reply" did not work, so I removed the "enctype" as suggested.
But now everybody is unable to attach, even those who did not have any problem to begin with.

Well, theoretically possible. You could then create 2 style sets. However, in the default style set you'd need a check which browser access the page and with that info, the script would load the template for it.
May the best would be too copy the default templates and then modify one of the copies for Netscape or IE. The browser check needed to go in the header of the default templates (or may both copies). No idea how to do it though.
