Spam bots driving me crazy..

I had to take my forum offline because I couldn't handle the spam bots anymore.
I've tried just about everything but nothing seems to work. How do you prevent spam bots from signing up? Is there something I'm missing? :confused:

Ban the ones lised Here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275885)

Install NoSpam! (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=183329&highlight=NoSpam%21) security question.

-Enable Captcha or REcaptcha in vBulletin settings -> Human Verification Settings
- Add an additional Required Custom Profile Field.
