Where to install test forum

Hello

I want to test 3.8 and build my own style and then upgrade so it saves my downtime

So now my question is can i install this test forum on my other domain which is only accessible by me (on my other server than present vb)

You can put it wherever you like as long as the forum is not publically accessible to anyone but yourself (and your dev team, I suppose).
