Suggested Forum Layout

I run a game clan portal. Currently we only run two games but plan to add another 2 in the next few months.

I'm curious what is the best approach for forum layout. Should I create a single large forum and user usergroups for view permissions? I wont necessarily want members of one game clan to see the other clan unless they are a member of both.
