ok i want to promote my forum more

have any of you got any advice on how 2 promote my forum is much as possible?

its a hiphop,rap,rnb forum if that helps u justify ways 2 promote it ?

There are LIMITLESS ways to get people to come to your site. May I suggest you try TAZ? (The Admin Zone)

A bad way would be to spam other hiphop - rap forums :o

just so you know most places that are related to your forum will not allow you to have that in your sig. I have been given infractions for it so has many others. Just beware.... Besides adwords and sig what else do we have?

Seriously, I would have competitions that will draw out people. Have a freestyle competition where people send in their MP3s and users vote on who did the best, then send them a prize for winning. Have the best graffiti contest (haha, some rules might be needed for this). Have a competition for the flyest bling. Just go all out on the hip hop culture, too.

The big thing you'll need, though, is news and content. Try to be the first to review the newest albums dropping. Try to get users involved with their local scene and submit their groups to the site. Just stuff like that will build a strong community.

Near all of the forums, blogs, websites etc etc I have ever been on related to mine has never ever allowed me to have my url in the sig. Not even with a vendors pack.

Who do you want using the site, fans or artists?

mainly fans but we have an artist section aswell, we currently have 2 singed artist ..

I think you need to target more artists. Get fans and artists to come together. If you target artists, you can promote your site on myspace, etc.
