Secuirty email speed needs improvement

Regarding 3.7.3 PL1 bulletin:


I received mine:
9/9 9:27AM EST (gmt-4 (soon to be 5 in DST))


Bulletin was posted in the forums:
9/4 10:37am EST



5 days??????????


I realize sending mass emails is a sever intensive process, but 5 days is just an unacceptable response time for security issues.
What if it was a big exploit?


the kicker is, I've been a member here since mid 06.
I feel sorry for the new customers who are 2 years of user ID's behind me



I know the response is going to be "subscribe to the announcement forum", but that's not the point.

It is still your responsibility to regurlary read the announcements forum .... also most forum admin login at the admincp at least ones a day and it will say at the top a new verion is availible ... so i don't get your point really

We didn't send the eBulletin until yesterday, it takes about 4 hours to send it to all of our customers.

The eBulletin is in addition to the admin control panel notification and the announcement forum thread.
