3.7.3 install

trying to install 3.7.3 and everything installed correctly as far as I can tell. I get all the way through the 13 steps but when I go to open the admincp or the forums all I get are two charachters.

Any thoughts? I have deleted the tables and reinstalled 3 times with the same results. I have installed 3.6.8 successfully many times and dont see any difference in the process.

It sounds like you should reupload the files again. Make sure you do the php files in ASCII mode and the images in Binary mode.

I figured it out. it was a free account with a java banner that caused the problem. as soon as I upgraded to a paid account it displayed fine. thank you.

no I have a host but wanted a new account and initially took one of the free accounts they offered. but it didnt support java and used a java ad at the top of all pages. somehow blocking vb. as soon as I upgraded and the ad was gone the forums came up just fine.
