Upgrading A Modded Forum

I am staff on a forum that was heavily modded by a previous owner.

We have a new owner who wants to upgrade to the latest package from 3.5.4 modded with vBadvanced (http://vbadvanced.com/) CMPS v2.1.0 - whatever that is?

Question: Can we do an upgrade directly to 3.7.2 with saved database or

do we have to do a complete reinstall and start over again?

Any help would be appreciated

You can upgrade directly but your Mods will almost certainly not work. You would need to check over at www.vbulletin.org to see if there are updates to those mods.

Thanks Steve, but we do not want mods at all anymore. They are a hangover from previous owner and we just want vBulltin unmodded.

You can remove the mods in the Admin CP. However this does not remove the changes they made to the database. That would have to be done manually.
