Can't Import, Stalls at "Check and Update Database"

I've wasted my entire Sunday trying to import an Eve database using the Impex system. I continue to get stalled out at the first step, "Check and Update Database" despite 2 dozen checks and double checks that my config file is accurate.

On my local computer (the test import before trying real)

I successfully downloaded the Eve database and imported it into MySQL.
I successfully updated the ImExConfig file and installed Impex.
The username/pw has been checked.
I double-checked the Eve import via phpMyAdmin ... the tables in the "SourceDatabase" have NO PREFIXES.

Despite this, I continue to receive errors as the Impex system wants to repeatedly tell me that my prefix is wrong or incorrect. There is no prefix. See attached screenshot of the source DB.

Altering tables

ImpEx will now Alter the tables in the vB database to include import id numbers. This is needed during the import process for maintaining references between the tables during an import. If you have large tables (i.e. lots of posts) this can take some time. They will also be left after the import if you need to link back to the original vB userid.

Failed Check database permissions and connection, or table prefix to ensure its correct

Why isn't this working? These tables exist, but it wants to tell me they don't.

Found the issue...

In the config file ...

The define('lowercase_table_names', false);

needs to be changed to true.

Thanks a bundle for the tip, already thought my lowercase table names were messing things up but read over that line twice in the config file. Tried renaming my tablenames to uppercase but couldnt get that done. This thread saved me another 3 hours trying to work this out!
