Private messages not sending/receiving

Hey,

I've just noticed an issue with my forum. I've moved all users to a default group and requested they PM me for account upgrades to a higher usergroup.

These users have reported that they have sent me private messages, yet I'm not getting them. I've tried sending one to myself and I don't receive them either.

I've not yet checked in the database, however when sending a private message, I type my message and click Submit Message, then I'm sent to my PM inbox, with no notification of it sending.

Any ideas? I've checked usergroup permissions and general PM settings in admin CP, and they appear fine.

UPDATE: I've checked the MySQL database and the PM data is being inserted correctly in the relevant tables.

SOLVED: Recently changed my username, which I've noticed clashes with another member of the forum.

SUGGESTION: Validate username change in Admin CP with existing users, and have PM's directed to the userid instead of the username.
