    Anybody seen the MyBB ACP?

So has anybody seen the new ACP in MyBB 1.4? (Their latest major release)

Looks pretty nice. I kinda miss using MyBB. LOL

What do you think of it in comparison to the vBulletin ACP?
    Regards,
    Nick

I think it's much more aesthetically pleasing than their previous ACP, but I still prefer vBulletin's ACP in terms of functionality and features.

Well of course vB's is best in terms of functionality and features because vB has more functionality and features.
It doesn't really make much sense to comment on that.

Regardless, my main discussion point was the design and aesthetics of the MyBB ACP, because vB's gets old, quick. As many report, it is confusing and difficult to find many options for beginners.

By functionality I also meant it was easy-to-navigate. I prefer it to ACP's that are categorized and layered.

I guess that's more of a personal opinion, and mine is that I prefer the categorized CPs like MyBB and IPB.

I guess if the colors on the vB ACP get on your nerves, you could change the color, or upload a new style for the ACP. I like it. Sorta scary at first, but you get the hang of the vB ACP in due time.

Yeah I remember when I first saw it I was a bit overwhelmed for the first few days...
but now that I've used it for so long, I can give support and direct members to locations in the ACP by memory. LOL

MyBB is very pretty and a nice forum to use, once you put in some ajax. It's a shame that their development community isn't up to scratch.

I'm not partial to Tab Based layouts. It is nice, don't get me wrong, but I just can't seem to find anything in it anymore.

For Control Panel's I prefer the old-style Frame Based. A quick skim of the left hand menu and I can usually find where I need to go.

                          "admin/demo" doesn't work

Also, I don't think you can compare their ACP to vBulletin's ACP. As there very different in design and how they work, in fact totally different! I'd be more incline to compare there ACP to IPB's instead, as they are much more along the same lines as being the same layout style and functionality.

Those login details work for me just fine.

I don't see why you can't compare the two.
The whole point of this thread is to see which type users prefer. You can't compare two types if they are the same type like you are suggesting.

OK, well lets just say if MyBB had the huge array of feature settings that vBulletins ACP has. I think it would'nt work so well as it does for the limited features it does have now. And they are pretty limited compared to vBulletin feature settings to say the very least.
